CNPC entered the Tajik oil and gas market in 2013, and is now engaged in oil and gas exploration and pipeline investment, as well as oilfield services in the country.

We carry out oil and gas business in Tajikistan adhering to the philosophy of “mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation for common development”. Tajikistan
Bokhtar Exploration Project

The Bokhtar block is located in the Afghan-Tajik Basin in southwestern Tajikistan. In June 2013, CNPC accessed the block for exploration activities.

Tajikistan-China Gas Pipeline

The Tajikistan-China Gas Pipeline, as the Tajik section of Line D of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, runs from the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border to the Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border. In September 2014, construction of the Tajik section commenced.

Line D of Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline

Line D of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline runs from the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan border, transits Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, and enters China via Irkeshtam, Xinjiang, where it connects with the planed Fourth West-East Gas Pipeline.
