CNPC in Indonesia

CNPC has been working in collaboration with petroleum enterprises in Indonesia since 2002. Currently, CNPC carries out upstream cooperation projects, while providing integrated oilfield services including well drilling, workover, mud engineering and geophysical prospecting in the country’s oil market.

Adhering to the concept of “mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation for common development”, CNPC actively fulfills its social responsibilities and supports local public welfare undertakings while carrying out oil and gas operations. In partnership with local government, CNPC has implemented feasible projects that are conducive to promoting local socioeconomic development. As of 2019, CNPC has invested a total of more than USD30 million in social responsibility-related projects, making outstanding contributions to local economic development.

Oil and Gas Operations

LPG Project

The LPG project is located in Jabung block in South Sumatra. It is a large-scale upstream and downstream integrated gas development project, including a BGP natural gas processing plant, NG fractionation plant; NEB/GEMAH associated gas recovery facility, two storage-marketing terminals for offshore crude oil/condensate oil and propane/butane respectively, as well as infrastructure, long-distance pipelines, and gas gathering pipelines. The project has been running safely and efficiently since its commissioning in August 2005.

The LPG project ranks first for liquid handling capacity and second for natural gas processing capacity in Indonesia.
