Seawater, Recycled Water, and Fresh Water
In 2006, the 10 kt/d reclaimed water treatment plant at Dalian Petrochemical Company was put into operation. The plant takes the sewage primarily treated by Dalian Sewage Treatment Plant as its source water and further treats it using the reverse osmosis method, producing 5,000 metric tons of industrial boiler water and 5,000 metric tons of industrial cooling water.
